Behind the GAVL: Happy 2025!

It’s a new year and GAVL is looking ahead to the future! It’s time for another edition of our Behind the GAVL series– the first one of 2025.

Ready for a peek behind the GAVL?

This week we asked our team members about their New Year’s resolutions and the things they’d like to spend more time doing in 2025.

Here’s what they had to say:

Ryan Raplee
Co-Founder & CEO

“Crazy that 2025 is here. This year I’m dialed in on growing GAVL and being the best we can possibly be. I’m also committing myself to reading more thought provoking books (I never do) and learning how to play Disney Lorcana with my 5 year old! Let’s get it!”

Catherine Rodman
Sales Development Representative

“I got two beginner embroidery kits for Christmas so my goal is to learn the stitches and get better throughout the year. I hope to make a few for gifts in 2025! Send me your requests!”

Lucas Hardgrave
Lead Content Writer

“My goal is to spend more time focusing on creative endeavors this year– both in my day-to-day work and my fiction writing. It’s been far too long since I’ve finished a new fiction project. This year will be the year! Also, I’m going to be better about utilizing calendar apps to keep track of, well, everything.”

Justin Lutz
Social Media Manager

“As we enter this new year, I’m excited to focus on personal growth and community engagement. My resolution for 2025 is to dedicate more time to learning new skills and sharing knowledge with others. I also want to learn how to speak Italian, travel more, and spend more time with family and friends. Furthermore, I’d love to get involved in more community service projects, fostering connections and making a positive impact.”

Caitlin Lane
SEO Manager

“My three big goals for 2025 are to write, read, and walk more. And my super secret fourth goal is to come in the top four of my Magic the Gathering commander league more often.”

Luke Potadle
WordPress Developer

“In 2025, I’m setting my sights on a few exciting goals. I plan to finish building my home gym to support a healthier lifestyle, train for and run a half marathon as a personal fitness milestone, and design an incredible backyard playground and garden where my family can spend quality time together.”

Theresa Carlson
Content Writer

“For me, 2025 is about slowing down, reconnecting with nature, and taking the time to recharge and find balance. I’m ready to embrace the great outdoors and explore the hidden gems of my area, like the beaches, trails, and springs. One of my top goals is to get out to Blue Spring State Park and see the manatees in the winter. They will hang out in the 68-degree water when the air temperature starts to drop. Sometimes, you can spot 600 of them floating in the springs.”
